Every eligible Ironwood employee receives stock in the company at no cost after a year of service. That is not a recruitment slogan, it is the reason our salaried turnover is under half the industry average, and the reason a superintendent will tell you the truth about a schedule.
Against a construction-sector average above 14%.
Among our eight executive officers. Six came up through the field.
In the last three years, including 31 into superintendent or above.
Completion rate against a national construction average near 50%.
Why people stay
Construction is a demanding industry and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Here is what we offer, and what we ask for in return.
We will not ask you to falsify a time record, sign off on an inspection you did not attend, or work through a hazard because a schedule is tight. If you are ever instructed to do any of those things, call (303) 555-0199 or write to ethics@ironwoodgroups.com. Reports go to the Audit Committee, not to your manager.
Open roles
We post pay bands on every role and read every application ourselves, no keyword screening, no automated rejection. If you are close but not exact, apply anyway and say so.

Send your details to careers@ironwoodgroups.com with a note about the work you want to do. We keep a live register of people we would hire if the right project came along, and we go to it before we advertise. Roughly one in five of our hires in the last two years came from that register.
Hiring process
Nobody is left waiting to hear back. If we are going to say no, we say it promptly and tell you why.
01
Submit your details online or by email. Every application is read by a recruiter, no automated rejections.
02
A 30-minute conversation about your experience, what you want next, and whether the role is genuinely a fit.
03
Meet the hiring manager and, for field roles, the superintendent you would report to.
04
Written offer with compensation, benefits and a clear start date. We do not leave people hanging.
Our registered apprenticeship programme runs three years across operating engineer, ironworker, electrician and pipefitter trades. Apprentices are Ironwood employees from day one, with full benefits, paid classroom instruction and a wage schedule that steps up with each completed term. There is no cost to the apprentice and no repayment obligation if you leave.
Eighty-nine per cent of our apprentices complete. The national figure is closer to half. The difference is that our apprentices are never the first people sent home when work slows down, which is exactly when other programmes lose theirs.
Roughly 14% of our workforce has served. We hold a current VETS-4212 filing and we translate military occupational specialties into our grade structure rather than asking you to translate them into civilian language.
We are a federal contractor with an affirmative action programme covering protected veterans and individuals with disabilities, and an Equal Opportunity Employer. Reasonable accommodations are available at every stage of the application and interview process, call (303) 555-0142 and ask for recruitment.
